Sunday
Sunday morning we walked into our church of several hundred people and "happened" to sit in front of Hunter and Sandi, the parents of our friend Bill, who lives in the Bwl! So we quickly jumped up from our seats and moved to sit beside them. Sandi also seems to have a word of encouragement for us.

After the service, Sandi asked us to stop in for a magazine article she'd been saving for us. When we got the house, they invited us to stay for lunch. Within minutes, while the children kicked ball outside, Sandi had whipped up the best scrambled egg sandwiches we'd ever eaten, served on Martin's potato buns. A simple meal was followed by more choices of Turkey Hill ice cream than the kids had ever seen on one table! It was almost heaven!

We also enjoyed meeting Bill's "little" brother Steve, and spent over an hour chatting with him about everything from Wales to economics to carpentry to sports to reminiscing about when Bill's future relatives had come to PA for the wedding. It was lots of fun. Then Steve took the boys outside and multi-tasked: throwing American football with Dylan...

...and at the same time, trying to play goalie against Brenin's football skills.

It was a brief but meaningful encounter packed between two very long engagements that day.
